Privacy Policy

Effective date: 18 August 2026 · Applies to all ANABUN Games titles, including Who Owns the Zebra?, Amber Solitaire and Amber Sudoku

Short version: we collect nothing for ourselves. Games that show ads share a minimum of technical data with the ad provider to serve those ads, and this page says exactly what and why. We made our games to be played, not to watch you play.

What we collect

Nothing, for us. Our games do not require an account, do not ask for your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or anything else, and do not transmit personal data to us. We run no analytics and keep no profiles. The only third party that receives anything is the advertising provider described below, and only in games that show ads.

What stays on your device

Your game progress, settings, and statistics are stored locally on your device only. Deleting the app deletes them. We never see them.

App stores

You install our games through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google may collect and process data as part of operating their stores (for example crash reports or aggregated statistics that they show to us without identifying you). Their handling of that data is covered by Apple's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy.

Advertising

Some of our games show ads, served by Google AdMob. Serving any ad over the internet necessarily shares some technical data with Google: your IP address, basic device information (model, OS version, language), and the app's identifier. How Google handles it is described in Google's privacy policy and how Google uses data from partner apps. Per game:

Amber series (Amber Solitaire, Amber Sudoku and future Amber titles): any Amber game that shows ads requests only non-personalized ads. Every ad request tells Google not to use your data for ad personalization, the game never reads your device's advertising identifier, and it never asks for tracking permission because it does not track. Buying "Remove Ads Forever" removes the ads and stops the ad network from being contacted at all. Amber Sudoku currently shows no ads and contacts no ad network.

Who Owns the Zebra? shows an ad only when you choose to watch one (for a free hint). In regions where the law requires it (for example the EEA and UK) you will see Google's consent form before the first ad, and you can change that choice any time from the in-game Profile screen. Declining personalization still gets you the ad and the hint, just untargeted. Outside those regions Google's default ad settings apply. On iOS the app asks for tracking permission once, at your first ad request, never at launch; saying no still gets you the ad and the hint. AdMob is the only ad network in the game (no mediation), ads are limited to G-rated content, and the game is not directed at children. Supporter Pass owners never see ads and the ad network is never initialized for them.

In-app purchases

Some of our games offer optional in-app purchases, such as hint packs in Who Owns the Zebra? Purchases are processed entirely by Apple or Google through their store billing systems: we never see, receive, or store your payment details. Your purchase history belongs to your store account, and one-time unlocks (like a supporter pass) are restored through the store's own restore-purchases mechanism. Hint balances live on your device with the rest of your progress. Nothing you can buy changes what data we collect: still nothing.

Beta testing

If you join one of our betas through TestFlight or Google Play testing tracks, feedback and screenshots that you actively choose to send us arrive through Apple's or Google's feedback tools together with basic device information (such as model and OS version). We use this only to fix bugs and improve the game, and we don't share it with anyone.

Children

Our games are made for a general audience (rated for ages 13 and up on the stores). Games with ads cap the ad content rating so that anything shown is appropriate for teen audiences, and we never enable child-directed ad targeting because we never target anyone.

Changes

If a future game ever works differently (for example an online feature that genuinely needs data to function), we will update this policy before that game ships and say clearly what changed. The effective date at the top always tells you when this page was last touched.
